Areas of focus
I’m Alexandra Sanchez, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Antioch University graduate with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. As an intern with Family Service Agency of Burbank, within their school-based program, I provided therapeutic services to students ages 5–17. I also have six years of experience working as an ABA therapist within LAUSD.
I help adults, teens, children, and couples build emotional awareness, strengthen emotion-regulation skills, and improve communication. Many clients come to therapy feeling disconnected from their emotions, unsure how to identify what they’re feeling, or stuck in reactive patterns that create stress, frustration, and distance in relationships.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, behavioral challenges, family conflict, low self-esteem, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, and I believe clients are not broken — they may simply be missing the tools and support needed to navigate emotions and relationships more effectively.
I utilize evidence-based and client-centered approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients recognize emotional patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, improve communication, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My goal is for clients to leave sessions feeling supported, empowered, and equipped with practical tools they can apply in everyday life.
